West Point Foundry is the reason you stay at a Bed and Breakfast! Marianne and David were wonderful, interesting, and informative. Extremely friendly but respected our privacy (quite frankly I would have been happy to hang out and talk more with them!). The house has been lovingly restored. The breakfasts were delicious (get the Galette Bretonnes). And there's radiant heating in the bathroom floors! What more could you want!?

My 89 year old mother and I spent a lovely weekend in October 2023 at the bed and breakfast. We stayed together in the French Room which was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Maryanne welcomed us and set out the most wonderful cheese platter and wine for us on the porch. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy each other's company. In fact, we decided to forego our dinner reservations the second night and I picked up a "picnic basket for 2" at the cheese shop in town and a bottle of wine, and we sat out on the porch playing cards, enjoying the sunset, watching the trains, for about 3 hours. It was bliss! Listening to David's talk on the house's history and restoration was a real treat. David and Maryanne are the perfect hosts and obviously have given their hearts and souls to the B&B. A perfect weekend!

Lovely stay in a beautiful home and setting. We enjoyed our views from the porch and our hosts conversations about the history of the property and their world travels. In town for a wedding at Bird & Bottle and we're glad we found the West Point Foundry B&B nearby as our base for exploring Cold Spring and the area.

While so many B&Bs over-promise and under-deliver, West Point Foundry B&B was exactly as described: a flawlessly restored historical home, in a lush & tranquil setting, operated by a kind & extraordinary couple. As there are only two guest suites, with no children or parties allowed, and no flat-screen televisions or other technological distractions, it is a refuge of quiet & near-solitude. That said, Cold Spring's Main Street is a five-minute walk away, with good & friendly dining options, a bit of shopping, etc. But it's possible to spend the majority of your stay simply sitting on the B&B's expansive porch, staring at the Hudson & beyond, reading & relaxing. (Do take David's house tour, preferably early in your stay, as you'll come away with a much better understanding of the house and its history & historical context.) This is a very unique and special place, and clearly a labor of love for its owners, Marianne & David.
